“Sweat the Small Stuff”
Nicole Jacobson
10:45 AM
In this feel-good society, where the small stuff rolls off our backs, anger and sorrow are considered wrong, unproductive, and harmful. Not sweating the small stuff has led to a feeling of uselessness and hopelessness, and we have been patiently waiting for someone bigger than ourselves to pick up the reigns and make people care, but we can no longer wait for that person we must make the commitment to change through the small stuff.

2021-2022 Annual Budget Drive Update
Thank you to the 36 “giving units” who have responded so far with their online or mailed pledges. It is through everyone's collective generosity that we are able to continue the good work of UUCH. If you haven’t already made your pledge, you can pledge online by following this link or you can fill out your mailed pledge card and return it with the self-addressed stamped envelope. Whether you use our online form or the mailed pledge card, please make sure to also fill out the Time and Talent survey offered by our Nominating Committee so we can learn more about the gifts and talents you might offer this year.
Please do not underestimate the importance of a timely pledge. The UUCH Board uses these pledges to plan our course of action for the coming church year beginning in July. The board presents their plan at the annual meeting in June, so it is particularly helpful to receive pledges now. Looking ahead, returning to a hybrid brick-and-mortar AND virtual UUCH presents unique challenges that a well-funded annual budget will help us overcome. Please consider giving as generously as you are able.
And, while we encourage your generosity, we know that this year has been financially challenging for many. If you received a pledge packet in the mail and decide that you are unable to financially support UUCH in the coming church year, we appreciate you letting us know by mail or email to stewardship@uuch.org

Like our other online and mobile giving options, this option is through Vanco, is secure, and has a good option for "plate" donations.

Angela Arnold (she/her) lit a candle of joy: For the warmth bringing everyone outside. We can wave at each other across the yard and remember what smiles are like 😍😍.
LaDawn Edwards lit a candle of joy: A special provision of the COVID-19 relief bill allows up to $600 tax credit for charitable contributions, which will encourage more generosity to people who are hurting.
