All Are Called
Amanda Schuber
Ministry is a "Calling", a nagging voice deep inside that tugs at you at the most inopportune times; a pull that just won't let go. We often think that only certain people are called, but what if we've been thinking all wrong? What if we ALL are called in some way or another? Join us this week, as Amanda Schuber shares her experiences from this year's General Assembly in Kansas City and explores the ways that we are called to serve our congregation, our community, and our wider world.

Knit Wits
The next Knit Wits meeting will be held on
Wednesday, July 25th, 6:00 p.m., at Jefflyn's home in southeast Huntsville. We will be taking on a new project to extend the yarn-bombing on the playground fence with knitted and crocheted vegetables and fruit.
The Knit Wits are part of the Care Committee, and no skill at knitting is required to join! The Knit Wits make Care Shawls for church members undergoing health challenges, as well as baby blankets, and also take on a variety of other projects, such as the Yarn-Bombing on the playground fence.
You are welcome to join the group. If you wish to learn to knit or crochet, there are good and patient teachers in the group who would love to help you learn, or just come and chat. Email Barbara Hitt at
care.Chair@uuch.org for more information. Hope you can join us for a relaxing evening with friends.

Care List
This Sunday, July 15, 2018,
at our Circle of Candles:
Kip Shepherd,
lit a candle of sorrow: For my mother,
Janice Shepherd, who died on July 6th.
Kathy Fisher,
lit a candle of concern: Please hold my daughter, son-in-law, and all of their family in your hearts as they deal with shocking news. Thank you!
Susan Coddington,
lit a candle of joy: After a couple of stressful months, my mom has now moved into assisted living, which we are both happy about. I am extremely grateful for the help of
Rachel Wilhite, who has spent many hours taking care of Mom and helping with the move.
Rachel has been great!
Bobby Hall,
lit a candle of joy: My father's house is ready to go on the market this week. Maybe now, I can get my life back in order...after my three-week geocaching road-trip!! Then, revive my ballroom dance class!!
Jo Broussard,
lit a candle of sorrow: Dear cousin,
Karen Broussard Pickett, is in the hospital with heart failure.
