"Imagine That"
Rev. Jaimie Dingus
10:45 a.m.
Margaret Wheatley writes, “In this new world, you and I make it up as we go along, not because we lack expertise or planning skills, but because that is the nature of reality.” Is the life you have the one you imagined? How does our collective imagination shape the world we build together? Let us spend an hour in reflection and wonder together.

2021 Virtual Auction Now Opening January 31
But first, we need Donors! When you go to the above auction website, click the Donate button to entire information about your donation on the following Item page. You can next insert a photograph of your item on the Item images page before completing your entry on the Donor details page. Easy peasy!
With our first four donors, we already have Mac computer services, unique pottery, camping equipment, golf equipment, and one entertainment event you’ll be able to bid on, but we need lots more to meet our 2020-21 church budget goal of raising $5000 for our general fund. The Stewardship Committee has created a Facebook group, UUCH Stewardship, where church members and committees can post suggestions not only on what to donate but also on what you would like to see offered as a service that you would be willing to bid on.
Don’t underestimate your skills: go look and see what other church members are willing to pay that you can provide for the benefit of our church coffers.
The auction will end Sunday, February 14 at 3:00 p.m. To bid once the auction opens, go to the website and click on the Register button. You can see the items up for bid at any time by clicking on the Auction button. Further instructions can be found here (same link as last week’s) or by emailing Stewardship@uuch.org.

About Alabama Arise
Arise envisions an Alabama where all people have resources and opportunities to reach their potential to live happy, productive lives. If this sounds like the Alabama you want to live in, too - you should take action with Alabama Arise! This year, Arise members chose to work on important statewide issues like Medicaid expansion, untaxing groceries, voting rights reform, criminal legal reform, etc. These issue priorities would break down many of the policy barriers that keep people in poverty, but we need your help to make these policies a reality. Will you help us build a better Alabama? To get involved with Alabama Arise, visit www.alarise.org/get-involved/ or select to donate, see issues and events, etc. You can also reach out to UU Social Justice Committee member Gail Williams and Arise’s north Alabama organizer, Debbie Smith at debbie@alarise.org or 601-616-4867.

Donating by Text or Online
|
|
To give a plate offering to UUCH from your mobile device, text the amount (without dollar sign) to 833-559-0257, and follow the instructions. Text giving is by debit or credit card only.
Like our other online and mobile giving options, this option is through Vanco, is secure, and has a good option for "plate" donations.
