The Social Justice Committee
has a monthly goal to collect at least 100 items during each month for the food pantry.
 
Please put your nonperishable food items or personal care products donation in the basket in the church foyer for the Huntsville Assistance Program (HAP).

Primary Runoff Election  
Tuesday, July 17, 2018
 
 
This Tuesday, July 17th, the state of Alabama will conduct a Primary Runoff Election.
 
The 5th UU Principle states "The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large."

Please exercise this principle and vote in this upcoming runoff election.

 2018 UUCH BOOK SALE

Volunteers will be needed for the 2018 Book Sale to be held Friday, September 28th, through Sunday, September 30th!
 
Please contact Dan McKitrick at [email protected] or text him at 256-426-6906 if you are interested in attending future planning meetings. It may be difficult, but we hope to meet or beat the amount raised during the last sale in 2016.
 
In the meanwhile, keep your summer reading going, we could use the book donations!
Choir 'Stole-A-Thon'
 

We are building new stoles to have ready for the choir's first performance of the 2018/19 year, mid-September. 
 
Our stole making is happening on Wednesday evenings 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. In July, we will finish our thirty Musical Note/Rainbow stoles and continue working to complete thirty Celestial/Formal black stoles.
 
Please, feel welcome to attend. There is cutting, ironing, pinning and sewing, as well as GREAT company and air conditioning. Whoop Whoop!
