Sunday, July 7th Worship Celebration & Picnic will be held at the Velvet Ice Cream Park in outdoor area #3. The service will begin at 10:00 am and we will have a church picnic following. Church will provide the hamburgers and hotdogs. Please bring a side dish to share. Feel free to bring fishing poles, outdoor games, and lawn chairs (there are also picnic tables for seating).

TWELVE MONTHS OF GIVING

The Events Committee continues Twelve Month of Giving, sponsoring and collecting items for Utica's food pantry. Each month the pantry volunteers
let us know what is most needed. Please place your donations in the bin upstairs or downstairs by the door. We will collect your donations at the church
and deliver them to the pantry.
Items Needed for the Month of June:
TUNA, PANCAKE MIX, SYRUP, SOUP

We all need a sturdy and steady source of confidence (belief or trust in oneself or someone else). That confidence we need and can depend on comes from something with a solid foundation. Jesus Christ is the solid foundation we need! No matter what we are facing, Jesus is better! No matter how big the challenge, Jesus is capable. No matter how negative the prognosis, Jesus can turn the situation around. When you're facing a frightening situation or a major challenge, fix your eyes on your source of strength. "Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished the race we're in." (Hebrews 12:2 MSG)
We might look to ourselves. Look to a friend. Look to a coach or teacher. Look to our leaders. We even look inside ourselves. Bottom line: We need to look to Jesus! Our confidence weakens when we turn to someone or something else other than Jesus. He is the rock! "So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you." (Hebrews 10:35 NLT) When life is throwing a lot at you, grab hold of Jesus with both hands and never let go! Jesus is always better! He's been through it all! "But take heart, because I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 NLT)
