Friday, July 24
My dearest friends at Westminster,

Words cannot express how grateful I am for the last 13 years of ministry we’ve had together. I have spent the last few weeks catching up with many of you over the phone, receiving heart-warming cards and letters, and Brady Bunch style Zoom calls. All of it feels far too little a response for the tremendous impact you all have had on Sarah, the boys, and me. I am forever grateful!

I do hope that you will all tune in to either the 9:00 or 11:00 service to hear one last sermon before our time draws to a close. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the countless hours, energy, and effort of our team to get live streaming up and running. There have been some glitches and errors along the way, but the crew has been working tirelessly to fix the issues, and to provide the best possible worship experience in these strange times. So wherever you find yourself this Sunday, know that the Spirit will unite us together as we worship Christ!

In addition to our Sunday offerings, I invite you all to the live Bridge Worship Jam this evening at 6:05. It is hard to put in to words how weird it is to play a worship set to an empty room, but the crew in the Bridge Worship Team have been extraordinary in their approach to this, and they also happen to be some of the most talented musicians I have ever come to play with. Even if contemporary music isn’t quite your thing, I invite you for a night of fun, worship, and even a few surprises!

I have spent the better part of the week cleaning up, trying to make sure I take all of my knick-knacks and patty-whacks out of the church. Please know that I leave a really big piece of my heart behind, and I will carry you all with me wherever Christ leads me next. I am so excited for the ministry that is coming here at Westminster, to watch what Jesus is going to do in these walls even in just the next few months fills me with joy. Keep your eyes on him, and enjoy the ride my friends.

Until we meet again,
Jason
