While all of us are eager to resume in-person activities, the Session has a sacred responsibility as spiritual leaders of the church to provide for worship, nurture, and service. The well-being and care for our members, our friends, and for all in our community who are hurting is our highest priority.
We will continue to be guided by government and public health directives, and we will follow the phases of Red, Yellow, and Green as we create a plan to be as prepared as possible to reopen. Until that time comes, we will remain closed.
Even as I write those words of the church being closed, I need to remember that I am writing about the facility, the building. The Church is not closed…you are the church wherever you are to carry the good news of Jesus Christ into a hurting world.
“
I lift up my eyes to the hills – from where will my help come? My help will come the LORD, who made heaven and earth
.” - Psalm 121:1-2

The Faces of Westminster
Send Us Your Photos!
Westminster Presbyterian Church is much more than the big, brick building on Washington Road. It’s the people--although not together inside the building right now--who connect, share, pray, and support each other and the community, in good times and challenging times. The faces of Westminster are the church and its community of faith, and we miss seeing those faces!
We’re looking for photos that we can share on our website, social media pages, and in print. Send us your “faces of Westminster” photos – shelter-in-place selfies, family snapshots, masked faces volunteering in the community, or other “faces” pictures. We’ll be working on adding these photos to all of our media channels, and although we may not be able to use all submitted photos, we’d like to hear from you.
Fill out this form
to send your photos. If you have questions, feel free to email
Jeannie Schott
.
It’s hard not to be with each other in person. So let’s share some photos and enjoy the faces of Westminster together – socially distant but spiritually connected!

Questions on the Mind of God: Where is Your Brother?
Bruce Lancaster
Today's Hymn
Come! Live in the Light! (We Are Called)
Come! Live in the light! Shine with the joy and the love of the Lord!
We are called to be light for the kingdom, to live in the freedom of the city of God.
Refrain
: We are called to act with justice; we are called to love tenderly;
We are called to serve one another, to walk humbly with God.
Come! Open your heart! Show your mercy to all those in fear!
We are called to be hope for the hopeless so hatred and violence will be no more.
(Refrain)
Sing! Sing a new song! Sing of that great day when all will be one!
God will reign, and we’ll walk with each other as sisters and brothers united in love.
(Refrain)
