Westminster Presbyterian Church will continue its mission of faith, hope, love, and joy as we move into the Yellow Phase of life in the pandemic. With great prayer and hope, we seek to follow Christ’s call to love one another, especially the most vulnerable in our congregation and community.
We will continue to only offer online worship services on Sunday morning for the Bridge and Sanctuary worship.
The Church Office will operate on a modified reopening schedule:
- The church office will be open Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Staff will be in the office on staggered days.
- Where feasible, staff will work from home, but can be available if you call the church at 412-835-6630 and connections can be made.
- Please visit the Our Staff page of the church website to contact a staff member.
The Church Office will be open with strict protocols, following CDC guidelines:
- Visitors must take their temperature before coming to the church and must wear a mask while at the church.
- The doors will remain locked. Please call for an appointment if you need to see someone.
- Upon entering, there will be a sign-in/sign-out sheet for everyone to use, and hand sanitizer will be available.
- No more than two people in an office at one time and social distancing will be observed in the hallways.
- Cleaning of all offices will be done on a weekly basis.
Grace and peace,
Bruce Lancaster

Another chance to save SNAP funding!
Help people hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic
The HEROES bill currently making its way through congress contains a 15% increase in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). We have all seen the long lines at food banks as a result of the COVID-19 effect on employment….we continue to support our food banks and other food donations, but a small legislative change in nutritional funding can make really large changes in nutritional benefits to the hungry. Please write to encourage your members of congress to support the increase in SNAP funding in the current aid package.

Going Through Hardship – Growing Through Prayer
Bruce Lancaster
Today's Hymn
What a Friend We Have in Jesus
What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit; O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer!
Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge; take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he’ll take and shield thee; thou wilt find a solace there.
Anthem
The Prayer
