Dear Friends,
Westminster strives to provide vibrant worship, respecting the wide array of safety concerns voiced by our members. In light of the increasing exposure risk in the pandemic, we prayerfully considered how to create an inclusive and safe environment.
Beginning this Sunday, August 15, we will implement the following protocols:
- The 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. traditional services will continue unchanged, inviting those who are fully vaccinated to worship without a mask and strongly encouraging those who are not vaccinated to wear a mask.
- The 9:45 a.m. Bridge service will require masks of all attendees regardless of vaccination status.
By requiring masks for all attendees at the Bridge, we hope families – especially those with younger children – will continue to experience the Bridge as a safe, healthy, and worshipful community. We ask that you join us in caring for and protecting those in our community who are more vulnerable.
This year, the 8:30 service will remain outdoors into the fall season and move inside only for inclement weather.
We will continue to provide livestream and recorded worship of the Bridge and 11:00 traditional services for those who live outside of the South Hills area or travel.
Please reach out to me with any questions or comments as we collectively navigate through this pandemic. Westminster has bravely stood in this community for 75 years, proclaiming God's love through Christ, and will continue for generations to come with your support.
In faith,
Jo Forrest
