THE SPRINGWOOD

Welcome to Our Home

THE SPRINGWOOD

1645 Dundas St East, Unit 1

Whitby, ON

905-556-1602

The Springwood is a new neighborhood restaurant whose menu incorporates locally sourced ingredients with a focus on “hyper-seasonality”, regenerative farming practices and minimizing waste.

The restaurant is the brainchild of local entrepreneurs Matthew Simpson (Chef) and Jasmine Lee (General Manager). Partners in business and in life they met at a local Whitby restaurant in 2007. Honing their skills for over 10 years in some of the finest restaurants in Toronto, they knew they would one day return to Whitby to open a place of their own and to share it with the community that gave them their start.

With every effort being made to partner with like-minded farms and suppliers who share their culinary philosophy, vision for sustainability, minimal waste, regenerative agriculture, and ethical farming practices the restaurant is celebration of Canadian farm to fork ingredients.

The menu proudly features local meat and dairy as well as locally sourced fresh produce. Vegetables are a star attraction on the menu and the restaurant offers a “Raw Bar” as well. Rounding out this stellar menu The Springwood offers an all-Canadian wine and beer list as well as an enviable selection of internationally sourced fine spirits.

An intimate, cozy atmosphere is cultivated from the moment you enter the restaurant, with an Art Deco vibe, the warmth of wood and lush green plants bringing in elements of the outdoors.

The Springwood is a warm welcome home bidding you to - Come over for Dinner.
