Lots of new stuff coming your way! We're working hard on putting the finishing touches on all the Series Events this season. While we work on the details you can put the finishing touches on your training! We hope you find this e-newsletter informative!
Our first hurdle this season was putting together a schedule that works well for every athlete. One of the notable additions is Ontario's very first Ironman 5i50 event. Muskoka will be one of the newest additions to the 5i50 Triathlon Series and we are very proud to present it to you!
About 5150 Triathlon Series: The 5150 series is an International Distance triathlon consisting of a 1.5K Swim, 40K Bike and a 10K Run. 5150 represents the total 51.50km distance. It is the largest international distance triathlon series in the world and is the first non-drafting international race series of its kind, offering a competitive platform for professional and age group athletes. The Hy-Vee triathlon in Des Moines, Iowa will host the 5150 US Championship, offering professional athletes to compete for a chance at $1 million in prize money. 
About 5150 Muskoka : Hosted at the beautiful Summit Center in Huntsville, ON. Taking place July 22nd, 2012. Top 5 winners in each 5 year age group will win a FREE entry into the 5150 World Championship. Top 15 in each age group will qualify! 5150 Muskoka Pro Prize Money - $15,000 Professional Qualifying Information: visit here. Age Group Elite Athletes All 5150 events will have an Age Group Elite category. To be eligible for the Age Group Elite category at 5150 Muskoka, athletes must furnish proof of completing an international distance event (1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run) during 2011 or 2012 before 5150 Muskoka, with a time below 2:15 for men and below 2:30 for women. Elite age group athletes will compete for awards and prizes at Hyvee.

5150 DuathlonMuskoka will also host a Sprint Distance Race option on Sunday, July 22nd so bring along your friends and family and make a weekend out of it! If you are thinking about racing and need a hotel room please book early! July is a busy time in Huntsville!

- For all our athletes, we have decided to offer an incentive for pre- booking 3 or more races all at once. Choose 3 or 4 races and automatically receive a 10% discount. Register for 5 + races and get 15% off! Sorry, we will not offer an express pass this season.
- Our athletes told us last year that they loved the Swim/Bike option at the races! Many people just don't want to run. Whether they are injured or just need a break it was a great alternative to just get out there and stay active. We have now included a Swim/Bike option at all our Sprint and longer distance events! Swim/Bike athletes are entitled to all the same great things as our triathletes and duathletes and if we have more than 150 registered for any given event we will also include individual awards.
- You'll notice that the schedule switched around a bit. Orillia has now moved to July to make room for all the other Ironman events we are planning this summer.
