Former Secretary of Labor Catherine Templeton Gives Union Activity Update During
Lunch & Learn

Did you know that South Carolina is the 2nd fastest growing state in the country?  More than 40 business leaders gathered Wednesday for an update on union activity in our rapidly changing state, presented by Former SC Secretary of Labor Catherine Templeton. Representing Palmetto Shield, an organization whose mission is to provide accurate and current information on unions, Mrs. Templeton urged those in attendance to stay up-to-date with business trends, legislation and employee attitudes across the state.  She encouraged employers to seek legal advice and create a sound plan for if (when) union organizers approach.   Click here for additional information on Mrs. Templeton and Palmetto Shield.

Welcome New Members!

The Chester County Tobacco Free Coalition is under the umbrella of the Eat Smart Move More Coalition (ESMMC). We want to protect citizens from the harmful effects associated with exposure to second hand smoke. We hope to educate the community about the benefits of becoming a tobacco-free county with the hope that Chester will follow in the footsteps of other counties in the state and adopt a tobacco-free ordinance.
