Clay Shoot Teams Have a Blast at Tournament
Landscaping & Mower won the Chamber's 2018 Clay Shoot ( pictured above with Chamber board members and company owner Chris Hinson ), followed closely by runners-up Classic Metals. Thanks to our wonderful event sponsors Chester Metropolitan District, HEYBO, Nichols Store, Gaston, Marion & Stubbs PA, and Logo Works. Special thanks to our event chair Everett Stubbs and our ambassadors for their hard work. Thanks to Rocky Creek Sporting Clays for hosting the tournament and Bojangles and Roddeys BBQ for feeding us! Partial funding for the Saluda Center’s Chester Office is provided by the C. H. and Anna E. Lutz Foundation. Saluda Chester is staffed by one licensed clinician—Kathleen Farrell-Perrini. She provides psychotherapy for many mental health concerns and life transitions (for individuals, couples, and families). Kathleen is trained in the provision eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman’s Couples Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Saluda has been treating clients for over forty years and currently has offices in Lancaster, Fort Mill and Rock Hill. Please come and celebrate the opening of our new office in Chester.

Mark May 1st on your calendars! That's the date of the 24-hour online giving event powered by the J. Marion Sims Foundation--money raised will DIRECTLY benefit communities in our county. The 2 nd  Annual Photovoice Competition for Kick Butts Day is on Wednesday May 9 th . Kick Butts Day is a day of activism to raise awareness about tobacco use. The participants include middle and high school students throughout Chester County. On May 9 th  there will be a ceremony to honor this year’s photovoice contestants The Chester County Tobacco Free Coalition invites you to attend. It will be held at the Farmers Market in  Chester South Carolina 111 Columbia Street Chester SC  at 4:00PM -5:30PM. This event is a free event and light refreshments will be served.
In the weeks prior to the Kick Butts Day event, the public will be voting on the best photo between April 30 th  –May 7 th . The locations include the Hazel Pittman Center, Chester YMCA, Chester Library, Chester Regional Hospital, and Chester Health Department.
