Connect.  Educate.  Advocate.

The Chester County Chamber of Commerce exists to improve the quality of life in Chester County, specifically by addressing and serving the needs of our businesses, small and large.  Business owners, individuals and not-for-profits are all important Chamber members.   Our goals for the next year are to create connections, provide valuable educational information to our members, and advocate for businesses that are based in Chester County, work within our borders or are considering investing in our local economy.   Join the Chester County Chamber of Commerce to promote our county and all it offers!

Chamber Happenings that
Connect. Educate. Advocate.

Free Lecture. Free Lunch. Excellent Information. Excellent Presenter. Professional Setting. Yes---HR Café at The Gateway in Richburg! Laws are constantly changing and no business wants an unwelcome discrimination lawsuit. Joanie Winters of Winters Law Firm gave detailed information to help area HR directors and business leaders get up-to-date on federal discrimination standards. Specific topics covered included grievance procedures, background screening, sex hiring discrimination, LGBT coverage, immigrant workers, pregnancy discrimination, and religions discrimination. Relevant and extremely useful information for businesses small and large! Next meeting--July 21st. Want more information on HR Café? Contact your Chamber today!

The Chester County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, along with Nikki Young--daughter of the late Tommy Davis, met at Lewisville Elementary School to review scholarship applications. With profits from the annual October Golf Tournament, the Chamber awards three $1,000.00 scholarships--one to a senior at each of the three county high schools.

The family of Tommy Davis also awards the "Heart of a Servant" scholarship in his memory to a deserving student from Chester High School. This special $1,000.00 scholarship is given annually to a student who demonstrates a strong desire and willingness to serve others, just like Mr. Davis did during his time as a devoted member of the community and Chamber.  Winners will be announced during next week's senior awards nights.

If you, your family or company is interested in sponsoring an annual scholarship, please contact the Chamber.  Our local Adult Education program has requested scholarships ($250 and up) for adults looking to further their education.  A strong workforce builds a strong economy!
