Emergency Notification System
|
In preparation for the colder months ahead, we have updated our "One Call Now" Emergency Notification System. In the event our school schedule is adjusted due to weather, a phone call and an email will be sent to the contact information we have on file.
A text option is also available. If you opted-in to receive text messages last school year, you do not need to do anything additional. If you would like to begin receiving text messages this year, you must "opt-in" to receive text notification.
To do so, text the word ALERT to the number 22300. Do not include any words other than the word ALERT.
After doing so, you will no longer receive a phone call at that number and will only receive a text message.
If you do not want to receive text notification, you do not have to do anything. Your phone number and email address from our FamilyID and Focus systems have automatically been entered into the One Call Now system.

The retreat is scheduled for Wednesday, November 9. Students will depart after homeroom and return to the school before afternoon dismissal. Please pray for the success of the retreat, and for our students’ hearts to be touched by our time together in fellowship, reflection, and prayer.

November is Native American Heritage Month! York Catholic is grateful to again be awarded a grant from the Catholic Black and Indian Mission Board to support the education and professional development programs for our faculty and staff in the areas of diversity education.
In thanks to the generosity of the Catholic Black and Indian Mission Board, our York Catholic mission collection for the month of November will be for the Black and Indian Catholic Missions. This mission will donate to the African American and Native American communities so the Gospel of our Lord may reach all people, in all places of the United States. Donations will provide for real and pressing needs of those minority communities, as well as help support the missionaries that give their time and service to them.
The donation will be collected Friday, November 18, in all middle and high school homerooms.

Does a ski slope on a snowy night in January sound like fun? Does a cup of hot chocolate in the lodge sound enticing? We have just the club. YC Board and Ski 2023 is getting ready to bring on some outdoor excitement.
We offer YC students a ride to the mountain, and help them connect with others who enjoy the sport. We will ski Friday evenings this year, and weather willing we will make four trips to Roundtop. The YC bus leaves the front parking lot of school at 4:00 PM, and returns by 9:30 PM. Grades 7-12 are welcome, to include beginners, and ineligibility rules apply.
Some students have already purchased an epic pass; all students are welcome to ride the bus with us regardless of the pass that they carry or lift ticket they purchase.

If you know a friend, family member, or anyone looking for a high-quality, Christ-centered education for their children who do not already attend a Catholic school, you could receive a $250 credit toward your child's tuition at York Catholic.
York Catholic's Parent Referral Program is a win-win for everyone involved. Referred students receive an outstanding education from York Catholic, while parents of the referred families get peace of mind knowing their child is gaining so much more than just a top-notch education. Families who refer someone who registers at York Catholic receive a $250 credit towards their child's tuition.
You, as parents, are our best ambassadors. In order for the Parent Referral Program to be a success, we need information about individuals who may be interested in joining the York Catholic family. All you need to do is click below to fill out the form. If the family you refer attends York Catholic through their first semester, your family's tuition will be credited $250, spread into 4 credits applied to the months of February, March, April, and May.
It really is that simple. So go ahead. Please click on the box below and allow us the opportunity to do what we love -- help to develop, nurture, and encourage children so they may grow in faith, mind, and heart. Mail or email the form to us and we will take it from there!
The Parent Referral Program is open to all parents of current York Catholic students. The tuition credit is not available for referring your own children. The $250 credit is only good toward tuition on a student's account; no cash is given, and it is non-transferrable. A referred student applies only to a new student from a non-partner school.
Thank you for all you do for our school!
