The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development will be hosting hosting two Paid Leave webinars on Oct. 10 and Oct. 16. Employers can register to attend one or both of these informational sessions at the link below.
The Paid Leave division has partnered with Unemployment Insurance (UI) to use its online portal for collecting wage detail reports starting this month and premium payments in April 2026. The first important step for employers to prepare for Paid Leave is to review their UI employer accounts, if they have one, and create a Paid Leave Only account if they need one.
The October webinars will include more information about wage detail reporting, including a step-by-step demonstration by our Unemployment Insurance division on how to create a Paid Leave Only account.
