October is Manufacturing Month | |
Central Minnesota Manufacturers Association (CMMA) is pleased to announce the 2024 Central Minnesota Tour of Manufacturing during the month of October. Twelve tours will be in-person, open house tours, while ten organizations are directing people to their website or YouTube channel with the option of by-appointment tours. Tours cover numerous counties in central Minnesota, with the majority being held in the St. Cloud area. They will offer a firsthand look at the high-tech world of manufacturing and are open to everyone, including businesses, communities, job seekers, and students. Hawk Creek Animal Shelter Celebrates 50 Years | |
Congratulations to Hawk Creek Animal Shelter on their 50th Anniversary! Hawk Creek's mission is to help abused, neglected, abandoned and stray animals as well as to educate the public on the proper care of animals and to promote the spaying and neutering of companion animals.

SWWC Educational Learning Center Celebrates Grand Opening | |
Congratulations to Site Administrator Kate Lieser, Executive Director Cliff Carmody, and the SWWC Service Cooperative team on the grand opening and ribbon cutting of their beautiful new Educational Learning Center in New London! SWWC Service Cooperative's mission is to be a collaborative partner providing exceptional services, innovative solutions and proactive support to create a future where children, families, schools and communities learn, succeed and thrive. The new school will provide special education for 30-40 students with learning disabilities.
Celebrating with the SWWC team are members of the construction team, staff, board members, and Chamber Ambassadors Fernando Alvarado (FIAFOTO), Junior Ambassador Sydney Morris and her mom Julie Anderson (Kensington Insurance Agency/ Nesbit Agencies), and Michelle Marotzke (Kandiyohi County Economic Development).

West Central CEO Visit the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber | |
Similar to KCEO, West Central CEO is a unique entrepreneurial experience for students from KMS, MACCRAY, CMCS, and RCW school districts. Last week, the class visited the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber and met with President James Miller to learn more about networking, thinking forward, and other tips for success in life and business. The students then put their new skills to the test at the MinnWest Technology Campus Chamber Connection. | |
