Minnesota Paid Family & Medical Leave Listening Sessions | |
The Minnesota Legislature passed Paid Leave into law in 2023 and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is managing the Paid Leave program. “Listening Sessions” have started and run for the next few weeks. We really encourage as many people to participate as possible - even just to listen in or ask questions…it doesn’t have to be “formal” or coordinated - so hopefully you all can share with your members, too. The department is releasing “topic guides” in advance of each session - you can see the first two posted on the website and can register there as well: https://mn.gov/deed/paidleave/about/rulemaking/.
DEED has indicated they hope to wrap up this process in Oct/Nov, so this summer is the time to engage. Now is the time to learn and add your thoughts to the process.
