After years of advocacy, collaboration, and planning, construction began yesterday on the South Gap of Highway 23 (New London to Paynesville).The Highway 23 Coalition, local city, state, and county representatives, federal and state lawmakers, transportation officials, and community members celebrated the groundbreaking at the Roseville Township Hall in Hawick on Friday afternoon. Construction is expected to be complete in the fall of 2024 and will improve safety and enhance opportunity for economic development along the corridor.
