BEN Presents Classroom to Career
The Business Education Network presented Classroom to Career to 8th graders at the Willmar Middle School in November. Classroom to Career allows business professionals to engage with students while talking with them about their career choices in the Willmar Lakes Area, and how the decisions in high school will open future opportunities. The program is designed to show students that they are in control of their future educational goals through personal choice and educational decisions. Special thanks to our business partners, Willmar Public Schools, Willmar Lakes Area Chamber, and the presenters for this opportunity: Stephanie Jensen (Central MN Jobs & Training Services), Bradley Pederson (Christianson, PLLP), Riley Cronen (CDS), Robin Kopel (Jennie-O), Michelle Marotzke (Mid-Minnesota Development Commission), Kevin Dietrich (Willmar Area Community Foundation), Steve Gardner (Willmar Electric), Jessica Hanson (Willmar Hypnosis), James Miller (Willmar Lakes Area Chamber), and Kathryn Haase (Willmar Public Schools).
