Join us on July 19 at the Fredericksburg Area Museum's Market Square for our weekly Music on the Steps concert when long-time local favorites Laurie Rose Griffith and Peter Mealy perform Americana, folk, Celtic, rock, jazz, and original music. On July 26, Hālau O ‘Aulani will share the music, dance, and culture of the People of Hawai’i.

Certain issues touch all our lives. On July 20, the We the Readers Civic Book Club is discussing When Breath Becomes Air, a book that focuses on end-of-life care, mental health, and more, with a special presentation by Dr. William R. Anderson, Jr. of Mary Washington Healthcare.

Young readers and listeners can enjoy a virtual performance of Bright Star Theatre's Little Red and the Big Bully Wolf on July 22 as well as an online visit with staff and animals from the Wildlife Center of Virginia on July 27 & 29.

Lunch on the Go continues through July. Children and teens 18 and under can pick up free nutritious lunches at the library this summer at two of our branches, Fredericksburg and Salem Church.
