We love hearing from our happy Zenith customers! The following is a note we received recently from David Mason of Valparaiso, Indiana, who is building his own Zenith CH 750 Cruzer from a kit:
"I wanted to drop you a short note to say just what a great product you and your company are providing. The tail kit went together in short order and I am just about done with the forward part of the fuselage and will be getting ready to join it to the tailcone soon. Having worked on a [best selling all-metal E-LSA kit] prior though the tailcone and wings which I sold to start your project, I have to say that I am enjoying working with your product much more. The part quality is outstanding, the holes so far all seem to fit perfectly, and your choice of the 6061 over the 2024 aluminum is much nicer to work with. I am amazed at just how sturdy this structure is becoming the further I get. The only problem that your kit has created is that I now seem to spend my days at work thinking about what part I will be able to work on once I get off!"

All that's needed is your undivided attention and participation every day, ten hours a day, for two weeks!

Zenith Aircraft Company will host its 24th annual Open Hangar Day and Fly-In at its factory in Mexico, Missouri next month. All aviation enthusiasts (and especially builders and owners of Zenith Aircraft kit planes) are invited to drive or fly-in for the activities. While the main "Open Hangar Day" activities will be on Saturday morning, there are many planned activities starting on Friday, September 18, including educational seminars, a return of the popular STOL competition, the Zenith banquet, and much more!

On Saturday, September 19, the Zenith Aircraft kit production facilities will be open for factory tours and Zenith's factory demonstrator airplanes will be on display - both on the ground and in the air! Company staff will demonstrate kit production and fabrication techniques used in producing the all-metal kit aircraft parts made at the Zenith Aircraft factory.

Informative seminars will be of interest to all, with topics ranging from avionics (both Dynon and Garmin), powerplant and engine installations (including the new Gemini diesel from Superior, new 135-hp Rotax 915, Continental, Corvair, Jabiru, UL Power, Honda-based Viking, and more). There will also be seminars on aircraft insurance, aircraft painting, safety, Sport Pilot, and more. The free seminars are about an hour in length, and the presenters will also be available on Saturday to answer questions and/or display their products and services.
Back by popular demand, there will be a friendly STOL demonstration / competition, presented by KITPLANES magazine, on Friday afternoon (open to all Zeniths), before the Friday evening Zenith Banquet.

Today is National Aviation Day, a day observed in the United States to celebrate the history and development of aviation, coinciding with the birthday of Orville Wright.

Today is also the seventh anniversary of the day that Dennis Sapp first flew the STOL CH 701 that he built from a kit. Since that time, he's logged more than 600 hours in his Zenith and he's visited several states (as far off as Fargo, North Dakota) together with his wife Kathy.
Dennis, pictured below, enjoys the outdoors with his Zenith STOL, going camping with the airplane and landing on sandbars on the Missouri River.
Based at the same airport as the Zenith Aircraft factory, Dennis and his airplane are familiar to many who have visited the factory. Dennis plans on participating once again at the upcoming STOL competition at the 24th annual Zenith Open Hangar Day.
