Dear friends,

I am excited to announce I will be taking my first sabbatical since starting full-time vocational ministry. Sabbaticals are a key part of Impact’s commitment to cultivating spiritually healthy staff and maintaining healthy rest and work rhythms. Will you help me create this intentional space of connecting with God by giving a special gift by April 30?

As you know, this last season of ministry has been particularly challenging as I temporarily covered a second executive role for a few years. Now it is time to step into a short season of rest and renewal. From May 4 to September 7, my sabbatical work will allow me to reconnect, recreate, re-imagine and rediscover in preparation for the next several years of ministry.

Giving a one-time donation will allow me to do the follow during this sabbatical:

  • Reconnect to God, my family, and my community
  • Recreate new rhythms of spiritual practices for the next season of ministry
  • Re-imagine ministry with healthier rhythms
  • Rediscover my love of the arts and exploration

Sabbaticals are not vacations, but rather an intentional season of resting and engaging in practices that lead to health and flourishing in ministry long-term. I will be spending a lot of time creating art, making music, hiking, and reading. With the demands of ministry, it can be hard to create space for all of them. Your financial support will help me create space for these life-giving activities that help me connect with God. I am excited to have this summer to focus on these practices so I can become a healthier minister.

If you would like to join me on this sabbatical journey, you can donate at secure.impacttheu.com/SarahJohnson2026 and sign up to pray for one week of the sabbatical at tinyurl.com/skoutzprayer.

Grace and peace,
