It's Tax Time!

BCOC offers Free Tax Preparation

The filing deadline to submit 2022 tax returns or an extension to file and pay tax owed is Tuesday, April 18, 2023, for most taxpayers. The Bucks County Opportunity Council is an IRS VITA grantee, and have operated the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program since 2007!

VITA offers free tax preparation services for low-income Bucks County residents (income of $60,000 or less in 2022). Our volunteers are IRS-certified annually, and trained in determining eligibility for EITC and Child Care Tax credits- getting you the most refund for which you are eligible. We complete federal, state and local tax returns, and PA Property Tax/Rent Rebates too!

Don't Wait! All February and early March

appointments are filled!

To request an appointment at one of our 4 tax sites, you must complete this online form. Allow one week for a volunteer to contact you to schedule your appointment.

Download the VITA flyer to print and share.

Tomorrow, you can join the Bucks County Housing Group, Bucks County Opportunity Council and YWCA Bucks County in Doylestown for the Coldest Night of the Year (CONY) Walk! This family-friendly event helps raise awareness and funds to support programs and services for those experiencing homelessness and hunger. Visit https://cnoy.com/location/doylestown for more information!

The event takes place on Saturday, February 25 from 4-7 pm.

BCOC wishes to express our gratitude to all of those who support us, most recently the Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund for support of Give A Christmas, and both CLA Foundation and BLBB Charitable for grants to support economic self-sufficiency programming.

Once again, BCOC has been nominated for
