Kelly Tarla, Burnet County Extension Agent, will be the first presenter in a series of seminars put on by the Highland Lakes Master Gardeners Assoc. and Green Thumb. FREE to the public.

*2:00 PM: Coffee Talks - Vanetta Chapman 
Herman Brown Library, 100 E. Washington, Burnet

Vanetta Chapman is the author of twenty novels in all, including the Pebble Creek Amish series, The Shipshewana Amish Mystery series and Anna's Healing, a 2016 Christy Award finalist. The event starts at 1:30 PM with refreshments, followed at 2:00 PM by a presentation and questions.

Come out and meet your Spring Sport Bulldogs - Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Baseball, Powerlifting and Track. HEB will provide hotdogs and the Booster Club will have a merchandise table. Free to the public.

Come out and get to know your local and state candidates for the 2018 Primary election. Sponsored by the Burnet Bulletin, Burnet Chamber of Commerce and Burnet County Republican club.

Quilt displays, guild boutique, "Hill Country Splendor" donation quilt, silent auction and vendors. Admission is $7, children under 10 are FREE.

*11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: BCRA Chili Cook-Off and Pie Bake-Off

We open our post EVERY FRIDAY from 5PM-7PM to all veterans and their families/friends. Folks are welcome to bring food and drinks, games, or just come hang out and chat. The COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS - a Grief / Support Group
FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH (DISCIPLES OF CHRIST):

3rd Tuesdays at 7:00 PM - Compassionate Friends - A grief/support group for parents & grandparents suffering the death of a child (regardless of the age of the child)
BURNET COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN'S GROUP:

Burnet County Republican Women meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month.  The meetings are at 11:30 and are held at the Reed Building, 402 E. Jackson, Burnet.  For more information call 830-798-1399.
HIGHLAND LAKES SERVICE LEAGUE:

HLSL contributes to the betterment of the community through financial support of nonprofit organizations, volunteerism and providing monetary assistance to individuals and families in need. We raise funds through our dinner/auction and ladies only golf tournament to provide grants and scholarships. We have a luncheon meeting once a month at Meadowlakes Golf club. HIGHLAND LAKES QUILT GUILD:

The   Highland Lakes Quilt Guild  meets the third Wednesday of the month at  9:30 am, in the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church, 1101 Bluebonnet Dr in Marble Falls. Guests are welcome.   For guild information

HIGHLAND LAKES WRITERS CLUB:

The Club meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 603 7th Street in Marble Falls. Visitors are always welcome. The social hour starts at 6:30 followed by author readings and the business meeting at 7:00 pm.
BURNET COUNTY DEMOCRATIC GROUP:

Burnet County Democrats meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.  The meetings are at 6:00pm and are held at the Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce, 916 2nd St, Marble Falls.  For more information call 832-922-0003.
