If you've stopped by the CEEE suite lately, you'll know that spring is already upon us. Space is always at a premium here at this time of year: Meaningful Economics production activities, Economics for Kids classroom kits, and Teach Children to Save Day volunteer packets fill every free inch of floor, waiting to be put in the hands of eager students, teachers, and volunteers. Spring is when we offer the greatest array of learning adventures and, like the students hurrying about just outside our office, our days are just packed!
And also like those students eagerly anticipating a summer filled with exciting activities, we, too, look forward to a season full of K-12 professional and student experiential learning opportunities. We will welcome a new MAEEE cohort, inaugurate a CEEE Economics Conference for Delaware's secondary teachers, and celebrate the work of our associate director, Bonnie T. Meszaros, introducing an annual award named in her honor to be presented to a deserving Delaware K-12 economics teacher. Check out these and other happenings, found on our CEEE Events Calendar.
The CEEE is also working beyond K-12 education, partnering with the Delaware Council on Economic Education to launch
Delaware.money
, a web-based portal that connects you with financial learning resources from organizations around the state. We invite you to take a moment to explore this new website that aggregates tips, tools and events offered by many local non-profit agencies. In addition, April brings with it National Financial Literacy Month and National Volunteer Month. We are very fortunate to have so many organizations and individuals who willingly contribute their valuable time and expertise to supporting financial education. We could not do what we do without you.
Yes, our work requires lots of hands, lots of planning, and lots resources but, as any of our staff are sure to tell you, if you do it by choice it counts as fun! Thank you for choosing to support us in this fun, engaging, and very critical education.
