Henderson County staff held the first Ecusta Trail Partners meeting on October 3rd, 2023, at Blue Ridge Community College. The meeting was focused on gathering feedback from business and property owners located adjacent to the Ecusta Trail regarding the Trail Partners Program. The Program is a voluntary, mutually beneficial partnership between businesses or property owners and Henderson County. The first meeting was focused on the county's jurisdiction and properties immediately adjacent to the trail. Staff has opened up the opportunity to include a wider range of properties within Laurel Park and Hendersonville. If you would like to see what was discussed at the previous meeting, a presentation is available to view online at: http://www.hendersoncountync.gov/greenway-network/page/ecusta-trail-partners.
The second Trail Partners meeting will be located in the King Street Meeting Room, located at 100 N King Street, downtown Hendersonville on Monday, March 11th from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM.
The meeting will feature a panel of business and property owners located along the Swamp Rabbit Trail (SRT) in Travelers Rest and Greenville, SC. To learn more about the SRT, visit: https://www.greenvillesc.gov/316/Swamp-Rabbit-Trail. The panelists will include a variety of business and property owners that are trail-orientated and/or trail adjacent organizations and have seen the changes brought on by the trail.
