Thanksgiving Food Assistance

Our members are providing food assistance to those in need this holiday season.

November 16, 10am - 2pm Wiscasset Ford will be hosting their Third Annual Food Pantry.

November 20, 4:30-6:00pm St. Philip's Church Help Yourself Shelf Food Pantry will provide a Thanksgiving Food distribution.

November 23, 11am-2pm, Lincoln Lodge #3 will host a Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Wiscasset Community Center. Eat in, delivery and to go available.

Donations of non-perishable items are being accepted at First National Bank throughout November.

WACC Non-Profit Trivia Night Nov. 21

Trivia for a Cause! Come support the Chamber at the Wiscasset Community Center's November Trivia Night. Food starts at 5:30pm, Trivia kicks off at 6:30pm. Grab your team of 8 at $5 a head (or join another group). Half of the proceeds will benefit the Chamber. For bonus points: Bring a non-perishable item to benefit the Help Yourself Shelf Food Pantry! Christmas Tree Raffle Donations Wanted

The Chamber is again raffling off a Christmas Tree in support of the Chamber - would you like to participate by donating an ornament, item or gift card? We're aiming to decorate the tree and start the raffle on November 21. Tickets will be sold through the weekend of Holiday Marketfest. Drop your item off at Wiscasset Community Center or contact the Chamber and we will pick it up. Thank you!

Santa’s Block Party, December 5 at 5pm, Scout Hall on Lincoln Street. Volunteer decorators wanted!

Merry & Bright Light Parade - December 5 - sponsored by Dave's Disposal (participants wanted!)

Christmas Cookie Challenge, December 6 at 1:30pm at Aekeir Brewing. Bakers and eaters wanted!

Annual Membership Renewals for the majority of Members went out by email November 3rd. Please check your spam folder if you haven't seen it.

Thanks to all who came out for our Ribbon Cutting & Business After Hours at A Step Back in Time in Pittston last week. It was a great turnout and we were happy to be invited! Best of luck!

Early Bird 2025 is in the books! We had a lot of fun greeting all the shoppers on Saturday for this annual event. Thanks to all the businesses who participated - we hope you have a great holiday season!

Childcare Start-Up Training

Have you or someone you know been thinking about starting a child care business but aren't sure how to find a location? Do you want to learn more about the business details of running a child care? Register for free training through the Child Care Business Lab, a program offered by Brunswick-based CEI. Participants will learn how to create a strong foundation for their business, write policies, create a business plan, apply for loans and much more. The Child Care Business Lab is open to all Mainers interested in opening either a child care in their home or in a facility outside their home. The team welcomes those who would like to expand, as well. Click here for the full list of upcoming workshops.
