Wiscasset Early Bird Nov. 8

Wiscasset businesses will open early on November 8 and offer a variety of limited and all-day deals and surprises. Participating businesses include: Ames True Value Hardware (opening at 6 am!), Fiction: A Novel Bookshop, Village Handcraft, Bargain Basement Thrift Store at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, The Bird Gallery, Plain Goods, and Grounded Coffee (opening at 8 am!) and Moulinette and Rock Paper Scissors (opening at 10 am). Join owners Paul & Linda Bouffard and Chamber Board member Mike Costigan for a ribbon cutting and Business After Hours at this new multi-dealer antique store. WACC Non-Profit Trivia Night Nov. 21

Trivia for a Cause! Come support the Chamber at the Wiscasset Community Center's November Trivia Night. Food starts at 5:30pm, Trivia kicks off at 6:30pm. Grab your team of 8 at $5 a head (or join another group). Half of the proceeds will benefit the Chamber. For bonus points: Bring a non-perishable item to benefit the Help Yourself Shelf Food Pantry! Scarecrow Contest Winner Announced

Congratulations to St. Philip's Church and the Help Yourself Shelf/ Wiscasset Feed Our Scholars for winning the 2025 Scarecrow Contest. Thank you to all the groups who participated and added some fall cheer to the town! See you next year!

Wiscasset Wormfest x Maine Mariners Community Benefit Night

Annual Membership Renewals for the majority of Members went out by email this week. Please check your spam folder if you haven't seen it. We appreciate your continued support! Pay online or save us the credit card processing fee and mail us a check. Thank you!

Holiday Preparations

Gardens Aglow - Opening night for friends and family is Thursday, November 14. We'll see increased traffic throughout the season on open nights. If you are running specials or plan to be open with special days or hours for the Garden Go-ers, please get in touch with Corrinna at info@visitwiscasset.com.

Decorate Downtown Wiscasset - Saturday, November 15, 11 am
Garlands and bows and lights!! Join other volunteers to deck the halls all along Main Street. Contact Terry Heller if you want to participate. The more the MERRIER!!

Decorate Wiscasset Storefronts - Sunday, November 23, 2 pm - Dark
Downtown businesses are invited to decorate their storefronts for the holidays. If you would like to have help decorating your business, or would like to volunteer to help, please reach out to Corrinna at info@visitwiscasset.com. Back River Bistro will have chili & hot chocolate (probably some bourbon) all afternoon and there will be a great big lighting countdown at 5:30!

Wreaths Around the Holidays

Call for entrants

It's that time of year again! Wiscasset Holiday Marketfest is almost upon us. Businesses and Organizations are invited to get involved (and have some fun while you're at it) by decorating a wreath for the holidays. Decorated wreaths will be displayed in the Holiday Gift Shop and be donated to Toys for Tots families after the weekend is over. Only 12 wreaths available! Maine Tourism Leadership Academy

Apply by November 10

Maine Tourism Leadership Academy is a program tailored for frontline supervisors and high-performing employees preparing to take their first leadership role in your organization.

This program will run remotely from November 2025-May 2026 with a two-day in-person retreat on December 2nd + 3rd at Sunday River. Application Deadline: November 10th, 2025. www.mainetourism.com/membership/leadershipacademy
