Annual Membership Meeting
The Greater Eureka Chamber will be hosting its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, January 17 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. via Zoom. Join us to hear a report on all we've done in 2023 and what's ahead for 2024. This is a member-exclusive meeting. Registration is required.
New Management 101 Series
Becoming a manager presents unique opportunities and challenges whether you are transitioning from a high performer to a manager or have been in your role for a few years. This interactive, three-session workshop will help participants understand what it takes to be an effective manager and leader while gaining practical skills that can be applied immediately, including:
  
  • Tactical skills needed for performance management and supporting positive team dynamics
  • Steps for maintaining personal well-being as a manager.
  • Skills to help create a trusting, effective, and inclusive environment.
  • A personal integration plan to help you put what you’ve learned into action.

The Greater Eureka Chamber is excited to announce the return of our monthly Thursday evening mixers in February!

Join us for our 2024 Awards Gala "An Evening of Intrigue and Wonder," where The Acres will be transformed into a Cirque du Soleil inspired cocktail lounge.

This magical event will feature an inspirational presentation of awards to highly-deserving local businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders, a lively live auction facilitated by State Senator Mike McGuire, and music by guitarist Jeff Smoller and the last-ever performance of the incredible Amber Soul!

Volunteers Needed for Point in Time Count
Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Point-in-Time homeless count. The purpose of the count is to collect data on the amount of people experiencing homelessness in Humboldt County. The count will take place January 22 and 23.
Business Network International Mixer
Business Network International's Humboldt chapter is holding a Eureka mixer on Tuesday, February 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans Available
Benefits are available for small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, and small businesses engaged in aquaculture who suffered economic impact due to the California Salmon Fishery Closure which occurred April 6 through October 31. 

The economic injury deadline is August 29, 2024.
Soroptimist Women in Business Award
Attention Female Entrepreneurs! The deadline to apply for the Soroptimist of Humboldt Bay's Women in Business Award is February 1. Don't miss the opportunity to apply for this $1000 grant for small businesses that make a difference in our community.
