Upcoming events:
January 21st was Quality of Life Day : Leadership Corsicana
This very valuable investment in our community results in the development of future leaders while also shaping our business climate here in Navarro County. Safety and compliance will always be our top priority as we move forward, so masks and social distancing will remain in place as well as any other requirements from the representatives hosting the sessions.

The graduates of this class will be a very special group that can help lead the way and demonstrate how to safely move forward under COVID19 guidelines. No other group before them has had this challenge, so they will be turning an obstacle into an opportunity.

Special thanks to Alison Wylie and Laura Capehart!
We also want to recognize Alison Wylie and Laura Capehart for their work with this great group. Their leadership experience and expertise is highly valued and we appreciate their employers for taking such an active role in our community. We couldn't make it without you!
Business 101:
DID YOU KNOW...
When you shop local you support more than a business owner. You invest in the people of Navarro County. We have many qualified candidates, staffing companies, a great community college, and the Texas Workforce Commission of North Central Texas here to help you find the best match to keep your business moving. Your impact is greater than you may realize when you choose to shop local. Let's stand together and support each other!
Check the Chamber Directory for local businesses ready to serve you.
Volunteer Opportunities:
DON'T FORGET...
Capt. Jennifer Schmidt of the Salvation Army in Navarro County always has a need for volunteers. Please contact The Salvation Army at 903-874-7131 if you are interested.
Also, if you need services or know of someone in need, please call 903-874-7131 or visit them at 212 E. 1st Ave.
Volunteers are the "eyes and ears" of Meals on Wheels, and we rely on our army of volunteers to make sure each and every client is safe and well. The success and reputation of Meals on Wheels is dependent upon the reliability, promptness and efficiency of our wonderful volunteers. Meal delivery routes are delivered Monday through Friday and take about one hour to deliver. Most volunteers work one day a week, every other week, or on an 'as needed' basis. Volunteers are also needed to help in our offices.
Hand in Hand Hospice needs you! Consider donating a few hours to help those who are not able to get out and be mobile. Sometimes, the very best medicine is a chance to have a conversation or just listen to someone read. We are all used to being so busy with life in general that we can't imagine what it is like to be taken out of that daily routine and how it would affect us psychologically, and ultimately physically. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for Hand-in-Hand Hospice, please give Jennifer Tatum a call at 903.493.0557
