Thank you to Superintendent Dr. Rebecca Toetz for sharing some of the upcoming events and programs happening this school year!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 4th for the Framework For Our Future 3.5 event which is a community conversation designed to continue the work to recognize and address evolving needs of all students and our community.
We would also like to thank Heather Treinen, Ann Staniforth, and Lana Ziegler, from Blessings in a Backpack - DeForest Area Schools chapter for coming and sharing with us what they are doing for our kids in need! They discreetly provide food for the weekend in the backpacks of identified school-age children (4K-HS) in need to show them that they are cared about even when they are not in school. In 2022, they provided meals to 195 students every weekend!

The DeForest Area Public Library is looking for help with their Haunted Library! Host a room to decorate, dress up and provide some " jump scares"!
|
Calling all businesses and local organizations to join the DeForest Area Public Library for a Spooktacular Halloween Event, The Haunted Library!
The planning team is looking for businesses and/or organizations to join the fun with planning, decorating and dressing in your scariest costume to provide thrills and chills to our community youth at the Haunted Library. Not sure on where to start… Pinterest has tons of ideas, the library has an assortment of decorations, and DAHS Drama Club is participating.
Can’t commit to a room? We’re also looking for individuals to dress in costume and provide “jump scares”.
We had a great community response from last year’s event, and we’re looking to make it even better for the youth of the community! Sign up by September 19th using the link here: https://forms.gle/esnqLSXdZDq3AncTA
