Congratulations Award Winners!
The Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated four awardees at our Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner: Patricia Cloutier received the Lifetime Achievement Award; Dave’s Disposal earned the Growth and Development Award; The Garden Club of Wiscasset was honored with the Unsung Hero Award and First National Bank's Wiscasset Branch received the Community Impact Award for their respective contributions to the community.
Thank you to our host for the evening - Chewonki Foundation - and to our "Taste of Wiscasset" catering partners - Back River Bistro, Panacea, D-Zerts by Daphne and Sea Basket. The event in Chewonki’s Chapin Hall also raised over $1,200 for student scholarships through a dessert auction generously donated by local bakers. NDEC provides free and low-cost digital skills classes, including classes in AI Safety, Microsoft Word & Excel, Google Docs & Sheets, as well as WordPress - primarily online live and on-demand video.

Wiscasset's 4th of July - Celebrate America's 250th with parade, music, food & more!
Community members are invited to assist with planning for Wiscasset’s Independence Day celebrations. Wiscasset’s July 4th Parade committee has adopted “America The Beautiful” as this year’s theme to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday. Individuals, businesses, groups and organizations are encouraged to participate. The committee will meet on June 1, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at Wiscasset Community Center. Summerland Cove Book Launch Party June 2
at Wiscasset Yacht Club with Fiction Bookshop
Tuesday, June 2 at 6 p.m. at the Wiscasset Yacht Club - join author Ellen Baker to celebrate the release of her new Midcoast-Maine-set HarperCollins novel, Summerland Cove, at an immersive launch party featuring a menu inspired by the novel, a scene brought to life from its pages, signed books available through Fiction Bookshop, and special giveaways. All are welcome.

New Hope Midcoast Collecting Clothes and Accessories for Annual Summer Sale
New Hope Midcoast, the Regional Domestic Violence Resource Center serving Midcoast Maine, seeks donations of high-quality new and gently used clothing and accessories for our upcoming summer sale. Items may be bagged or in boxes and will be collected through June 30th. Clothes can be for all family members, all seasons, and of all sizes (free of damage, please; no used undergarments, and new only if for children). Accessories include jewelry, footwear, scarves, hats, mittens, gloves, and bags.
