Worship Remains in Sanctuary this Week
After service, there will be a Live Reception in the Reception Room beginning at 11:30!
The scriptures will be Revelation 7:9-17 and John 10:22-30.
Rev. MacMillan will offer her sermon "Jesus the Shepherd" this week!
Our Liturgist is Martha Goble. Martha has been a
member of the church of the covenant for 33 years.
Today is her last day as President of the Society and Chairman of the Trustees. She thanks all the people who have been so helpful as she carried out her responsibilities--Este Pozza, Willie Howard and Shannon James have been wonderful! Many of the trustees have helped her succeed. All members of the congregations have much to look forward to
in the months ahead with our new leader, Jessie MacMillan. So, Martha asks all members to please
fill out the Survey and hit Send!
Ushers this week are Marilyn and Chris Langmack.

We welcome flautist Alexa Still to our service this week. Professor Still teaches at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and is celebrated for her international performing career and discography. Oberlin student and Covenant soloist Melody Prater studies Vocal Performance with Professor Katherine Jolly. Melody is passionate about sharing music with the community.
My Shepherd Will Supply My Need is a paraphrase of the 23rd Psalm by Isaac Watts, considered by many to be the father of English Hymnody. Mack Wilberg arranged this American folk hymn from Southern Harmony (1835) for choir, keyboard, flute and oboe.
Jazz, classical, and pop performer, composer, and conductor Bobby McFerrin (b. 1950) wrote the moving setting of Psalm 23 as a tribute to his mother Sara. She was an accomplished singer and veteran music educator in California. McFerrin spoke about the Psalms in a 2014 interview: “My favorite book in the Bible is the Psalms. I read scripture constantly, but the Psalms is like the book that I go to most of the time because in it is conveyed every human emotion. And what that tells me is that God gets it. He gets us. He understands us perfectly because he, in his book, has included the emotional, roller coaster rides that all of us go through. He gets it all. He understands it all.”

We Need Your Participation in an Upcoming Survey
I hope you have heard a bit about the “Strategic Facility Master Plan” (SFMP) either in the e-news or from conversations at church. The SFMP is Covenant’s big project to look at the future of the church from two perspectives—increasing our membership and outreach and addressing the building needs of our 100-year-old facility. Your participation is greatly needed as we begin. Sometime next week you will receive a Survey as an email. Please look it over, respond to the questions and return as soon as possible (we are aiming for two weeks.) Everyone’s viewpoint is important to consider and you will be an integral part of this wonderful opportunity we have to launch our church into the future. Thank you for your participation and if you have any questions, please email me for clarification.

Updates on Humanitarian Support to Ukraine and Afghanistan
The Lithuanian Americans Citizens Club is collecting humanitarian supplies on behalf of the Ukrainian Association of Ohio, which is planning a supply airlift to Poland and Ukraine. Click the button below to learn how you can support this effort.
Also included in the link below is an update on Covenant's support of an Afghan refugee family of six.
The leaders of Presbyterian World Mission and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) met to discuss the situation and how the church can respond to the growing refugee crisis, as well as the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The conversation focused on the unfolding situation within Ukraine and in bordering countries that are receiving refugees and carrying emergency supplies over the border into Ukraine as the situation there deteriorates. Mission co-workers shared information received from partners in the Central European region. PDA’s Office for Refugees and Asylum is coordinating internally and with these partners in the area and ACT Alliance to determine where funds can be directed for the greatest impact.
