Worship this Sunday, April 28
10:00 am in the Sanctuary
What does it mean to stand witness to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus? For the disciples it was easy to give testimony to the events in which they were eyewitnesses. Yet, as modern Christ followers how do we serve as witnesses to the core message of Jesus’ teachings in the midst of a cacophony of noise. In his sermon, Kevin Lowry will explore what it means to be an eyewitness to the legacy of Jesus in this time and in this place.
Scriptures are  Psalm 118: 14–29  and Acts 5:27–32 . Our Lay Worship Leader is Libby Panhorst.
Music Notes

Chancel Choir will continue to celebrate Christ’s resurrection during Eastertide with songs and hymn tunes that you might associate specifically with the first Sunday of Easter. This Joyful Eastertide is an Easter carol, set to a Dutch melody, by an Irish composer (Charles Wood) and an English Anglican priest (George Ratcliffe Woodward). All of that is to say that music can truly be a common tie that binds us together.

Soloist Yukiko Weinroth sings of Paul’s rhetorical assurance of salvation to believers in Rome. Taken from the third and final section of Handel’s Messiah , this is the last solo of the great oratorio.
Children preschool – fifth grade,  are invited to a time storytelling, discovery, and joyful play in the Creche, now located on the third floor in Beckwith Hall.  Youth sixth-twelfth grade  are invited to stay in the service and participate by responding to this week’s Wonder Sheet.
