On February 20th, a Development Order (DO) was issued to allow for the redevelopment of the Rainbow Court Mobile Home Park located at 1159 Clearwater-Largo Road N. Since the site is located in the Clearwater-Largo Road Community Redevelopment District, adding affordable housing is a priority, which has led to the Affordable Housing Density Bonus being approved by the City Commission for the first time. This was achieved without offering any financial incentives to the developer. The DO will allow for the construction of four 3-story buildings with 224 total dwelling units, parking, associated landscaping improvements, and an underground stormwater vault. The development is called The Rosery and will offer streetside retail, public art, connectivity to the Pinellas Trail and plenty of amenities.
