A Message from the Director
Lace up those sneaks...
we have three BIG events you don't want to miss!

First on deck is the Snowshoe 5k at Spring Mount! I know what you're thinking... and the answer is... the course will either be on natural snow or right on the slopes with machined snow. Over 100 folks have already signed up... and we only have 20 pairs of snowshoes left for rent... so don't wait!

Second on deck is the Meltdown 5k @ Free Will Brewing Co. This race is a fan-favorite and it's predecessor The Freeze-Up sold out in just three weeks.... so register today!

Third is the Lenape Challenge! The Challenge is the area's premier adventure race that combines 5 miles of off-road running with 2.5 miles of paddling on the Perkiomen Creek. Registration is now open for Conservancy Members. Not a member? You can join now and save on this race and other events in the Perkiomen Trifecta! You can choose the "Team Challenge" or the "Solo Challenge" ... either way, don't wait... the Challenge sold out in 2 weeks last year!

Also, you don't want to miss the first ever Bugs and Brews Fly Tying Workshop with LL Bean and Bald Birds Brewing... plus we have 2 spots left in our Wilderness First Aid Workshop!

It's almost too much fun... almost! Check out our other great programs and events... we're sure there's something for everyone!

Don't let Ole' Man Winter get you down...
Join us for the 14th Annual Pennsylvania Championship Snowshoe Race at Spring Mount Ski Area!

The Snowshoe 5k is great for everyone! Bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair from us (while supplies last... we only have 20 pairs left ).

If there's natural snow, the course is a 5k cross country loop. If there's no natural snow, then we'll do a loop right on the slopes! Either way the race finishes with a hot drink from Boardroom Spirits!
Don't wait... this race is sure to be a sell-out!

Not ready to strap on a pair of snowshoes, but want to see what this is all about? Be a volunteer!

April 6 | 9:00 am
Planning is underway for the 2019 Stream Clean-up, a watershed-wide trash removal event. This year, it is scheduled for Saturday, April 6th from 9 am -12 pm. We also offer corporate groups the opportunity to volunteer on Friday, April 5th. We want this year's clean-up to be the biggest yet, with a goal of having 1,000 volunteers participate! To learn more, visit our website. Sign-ups will be posted soon, so be sure check on the website in the coming weeks. If you have any questions or need a site suggestion for your group, contact our Conservation Coordinator, Jessie Kemper (jkemper@perkiomenwatershed.org).

Know of any sites in the watershed that need a little TLC? Suggest a site for us to include in this year's clean-up with the TrashSpot App.

The Lenape Challenge is a unique adventure race that combines 5 miles of off-road running with 2.5 miles of paddling on the Perkiomen Creek. The course starts at the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy in Schwenksville and takes you on a romp through fields, woods and up over the slopes at Spring Mount. After a wicked climb and maddening decent, you'll hit the Perkiomen Creek for an epic 2.5 miles of boulder dodging and rapid running. You'll finish the race with a dash to the finish!

You can either tackle the Challenge by your onesy in the Lenape "Solo" Challenge ... which combines the off-road running course with kayaking or you can grab a partner and a canoe for the traditional Lenape "Team" Challenge. Either way, you'll have a blast!
