A Message from the Director
Registration is now OPEN for the Perkiomen Stream Clean-Up!!
This year will no doubt be our biggest and best yet!
We have over 80 impacted sites throughout the watershed and need 1,000 community volunteers to help take out the trash! Make a difference on April 6th and take part in the largest single-day clean-up in PA! We have project sites for casual collectors, for thrill-seekers, for families, for corporate groups, scout troops and everyone in between.

As you can imagine, hosting 1,000 volunteers and removing over 20,000 pounds of trash is quite expensive. We have some great opportunities for our local businesses to get involved.

Also, on deck is the Lenape Challenge! Unfortunately for you procrastinators out there the Lenape "Team" Challenge is Full... but spots do open up... so join the Wait List. We do have a number of spots open in for the Lenape "Solo" Challenge. Don't wait... spots are going fast!

Join us for the Meltdown 5k at Free Will Brewing Co. in Perkasie. This flat and fast 5k is a fan favorite... and is sure to sell-out. Sign-up Today!

The Conservancy completed its feasibility study for the official creation of the Perkiomen Creek Water Trail (PCWT). We recently presented our findings and recommendations to the Montgomery County Planning Commission and their regional affiliates. Our next step is to apply for official state water trail designation.
Enjoy the weather, and I hope to see you at our next event!

Conservation Corps members are beginning their service year with a Climb-A-Thon fundraising event and they need your support! On February 9th, Conservation Corps members will climb to their heart’s content at the Philadelphia Rock Gym in Oaks to raise funds which will directly support the Conservation Corps program. Conservation Corps allows high school students to participate in conservation projects like streamside trash removal, invasive species management, rain garden installation, and more! The Lenape Challenge is a unique adventure race that combines 5 miles of off-road running with 2.5 miles of paddling on the Perkiomen Creek. The course starts at the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy in Schwenksville and takes you on a romp through fields, woods and up over the slopes at Spring Mount. After a wicked climb and maddening decent, you'll hit the Perkiomen Creek for an epic 2.5 miles of boulder dodging and rapid running. You'll finish the race with a dash to the finish!

However, spots do open up... so please register for the Wait List.

Don't worry, you can still get your fix...
The Lenape "Solo" Challenge is still OPEN!!
