4CD Employees Complete Leadership Institute

Congratulations to the Spring 2026 graduates of the 4CD Leadership Institute!

This group of 25 employees—representing each college and the District Office—participated in a five-month program focused on building leadership skills, tackling real-world challenges, and learning from each other. Through conversations, case studies, and shared experiences they discussed challenges and opportunities, and built a strong network rooted in collaboration and support.

This employee leadership program is not just about future roles—it’s about making an impact right now. Our graduates are already bringing fresh ideas, stronger connections, and a deeper commitment to serving students and the community.

Student Trustee Completes Term, Graduates with High School Diploma and Associate Degree

Congratulations to outgoing Student Trustee and Contra Costa College (CCC) graduate Sophie Khouri!

Sophie has been a part of the CCC community since she was 14 years old as a Middle College High School student, and over the years she has grown into an incredible advocate and leader.

From conducting legislative visits at the State Capitol to serving on the 4CD Governing Board, Sophie has advocated for her fellow students every step of the way.

"Get involved in student government," Sophie advised her fellow students on graduation day. "It opens so many doors for meeting people, advocating for students, and being part of something bigger than yourself!"

This month Sophie earned her associate degree the day before she earned her high school diploma! She is now transferring as a junior to San Francisco State University, where she will study International Relations and pursue her dream of becoming a human rights lawyer.

Voters to Consider Facilities Bond on June Ballot

The 4CD Governing Board voted in January to place a facilities bond (Measure G) on the June 2 primary ballot.

If approved by Contra Costa voters, the bond would fund building repairs, replacements, and upgrades at all three colleges to meet current safety, technology, and sustainability standards.
