CHURCHILL WANG SELECTED FOR AMERICAN SOCIETY OF ANIMAL SCIENCE AWARD

Xiaoqiu (Churchill) Wang has been awarded the 2016 Agri-King Outstanding Graduate Student Award. 




DWAIN JOHNSON NAMED 2016 AMSA DISTINGUISHED RESEARCH AWARD WINNER

AMSA has announced that Dr. Dwain Johnson, Professor of Meat Science at the University of Florida, is the recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Research Award.

OSBURN NAMED ASSOCIATED HEAD FOR ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

Dr. David Forrest served as the Associate Head for Academic Programs in the Department of Animal Science for many years. He stepped down on July 1, 2016 to return to full time to faculty. Dr. Wes Osburn has assumed the role. This position is responsible for overseeing multiple aspects of our academic programs and is vital to our continued success in meeting the needs of our faculty and students.

 



ASAS FOUNDATION HERITAGE LUNCH TO HONOR DR. JOSIE COVERDALE

Those attending the Joint Annual Meeting (JAM) of ASAS, ADSA, CSAS and WSASAS are invited to the ASAS Foundation Heritage Lunch which honors pioneers in the field of animal science. This year's honoree will be Dr. Josie Coverdale (posthumously). The lunch will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 12:30-2:00 pm in the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, Canyon A/B room.
