NEWS AND INFORMATION
HONORABLE GUEST
The Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, Janet Austen, OBC , has indicated that she is very open to invitations from parishes for a speaking engagement. Several of her predecessors were frequent guests at Anglican events and commemorations particularly Garde Gardom, Stephen Point and Judith Guichon. Parishes would often invite them for 50th or 100th anniversaries, or for any important occasion. They were in every instance outstanding participants, raising the profile of a local event.

A reminder: The Lieutenant Governor’s schedule is busy, so you need to plan well ahead.

RELIGIOUS HARDWARE, VESTMENTS, ETC.
The Archbishop will be making a visit to our Companion Diocese of Northern Philippines departing February 17.

We know first-hand that EDNP is growing with many new missions and preaching stations. We can assist them in providing resources. The Companion Diocese Committee is asking you to have a look in your sacristy cupboards for any items (religious hardware, vestments, linens, etc) in good condition that we might send with the Archbishop to be used by missions in EDNP.

Please bring any items to the Synod Office no later than Monday, February 11 so that they can be securely packed for transport.
