During that time, Executive Archdeacon Nick Pang will be the Commissary. Should matters arise that require urgent attention, contact the executive archdeacon.

Diocesan Ordinations
On Saturday June 21, at Christ Church Cathedral, Archbishop John Stephens ordained four new transitional deacons into the Church: The Rev. Claude St-Denis, The Rev. Dara Crandall, The Rev. Neil Jongbloed, The Rev. Sarah Lehman.
It was a joyous occasion with Indigenous Elder in Residence Rikki Kooy offering an opening welcome and The Rev. Canon Dr. Martin Brokenleg preaching. Please pray for the ministries of the newest deacons in the Diocese of New Westminster.

General Synod
The General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada is currently meeting in London, ON. Major events within this Synod include the election of a new Primate (Archbishop of Canada) and significant visioning work for the future of our national expression of the Anglican Church. Wildfire & Flooding Relief and Resilience
In partnership with Alongside Hope (formerly known as PWRDF), the Ecclesiastical Province of BC/Yukon have launched an initiative to provide funds for parishes or dioceses/Territory for the purposes of building resilience, supporting recovery and enabling creative ways to respond to potential wildfires or floods. The Alongside Hope grant is $50,000 and will be dispersed by a committee for grants up to $8000

Archbishop John Stephens has appointed the Rev. Anne Privett as Rector of St. Philip's, Dunbar, effective July 1. Rev. Privett had been serving as interim priest-in-charge at St. Philip's.

Local Parish Supports Jerusalem Hospital
Church of the Holy Trinity, White Rock is fundraising to support the St. John of Jersualem Eye Hospital. It it is the only provider of eye care in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, treating over 135,000 people annually.
The parish has set a goal of raising $18,000, which will go towards training an Ophthalmic Nurse for the hospital at the Sir Stephen Miller School of Nursing. Donations can be sent to: Church of the Holy Trinity White Rock, 15115 Roper Avenue, White Rock, BC V4B 2E8, and note “Eye Hospital” on the donation.

POSITION: Musician (part-time)

St. Helen’s Anglican Church, Surrey, BC, seeks a qualified musician on piano and pipe organ for the parish's Music Ministry. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Rector in planning liturgy, music, and hymn selections for each season. Over time, as the choir develops, additional rehearsal time led by the musician may be required. Remuneration commensurate with experience and qualifications, as described in the Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO) Salary Guidelines.
