Don’t Forget Your Final Destination
I don’t travel too much anymore. I don’t look forward to it and I don’t enjoy it, especially now with the extra burden of all of the Covid restrictions, as necessary as they might be. When I do have to travel, I’m always anxious
to get home again and to settle back into my routine

We need your help to ensure the Build Back Better Act does not effectively exclude Catholic schools from child care and pre-K programs, thereby severely limiting options for families.

The current child care and universal pre-kindergarten provisions in the Build Back Better Act could effectively exclude Catholic providers and many other faith-based providers, and this needs to be fixed.

NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK, NOV. 7-13
By Laura Kilgus, Assistant Editor, RI Catholic
PROVIDENCE — Spencer Gregory, 20, remembers writing his first song when he was only five years old. With a musical upbringing, much of his love for music originated from watching his father sing and play guitar and Gregory has wanted to do the same ever since.

Dobbs case presents providential opportunity to combat Roe v. Wade
Guest Editorial to the Rhode Island Catholic
By Lisa Cooley, Coordinator of the diocesan Office of Life and Family
It has been a labored few months for the pro-life community. The new administration has done everything they can to increase funding and access to abortion here in the United States and globally. However, there is a glimmer of hope, a once-in-a-generation opportunity before us.

NEXT WEEK

Pope at Angelus: We are called to strive for sincerity
Reflecting on the Sunday Gospel reading at the Angelus, Pope Francis says “we must watch out for” those who live their faith with duplicity, so as not to become like them; whereas we must “watch” the sincerity of the widow, described in today's reading, whose humble love for God is an example for all.
