Are We Just Dust In The Wind?
From Bishop Tobin
I was driving home from work the other day when I heard the song, “Dust in the Wind,” recorded by the American rock band, Kansas, in 1977. It’s a tidy little song with a serious theme. Specifically, are all of our dreams, all of our works just dust in the wind? Are we just a “drop of water in an endless sea?”

CRANSTON — The dust was still settling this week during a tour of the new Saints Peter & Paul Mausoleum. Construction dust, that is, as workers were putting the finishing touches on the 22,000-square-foot structure that Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will dedicate at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Essential Workers Honored in Mass of Thanksgiving
PROVIDENCE — In the midst of a global pandemic, whether you tended to the medical or spiritual needs at the bedside of COVID-19 patients, kept order in the streets as a law enforcement officer, answered the alarm for fire and medical emergencies, provided crucial virus testing and vaccinations as a member of the National Guard, kept the mail delivery flowing, stocked the shelves and served customers in local supermarkets or taught children or young adults in person or remotely to keep them from falling behind in their studies, you all had one thing in common: you served as a much-needed essential worker in a time of crisis.

Knights seen as ‘poised’ to lead way to recovery, renewal as pandemic ends
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (CNS) — The new CEO of the Knights of Columbus said the international fraternal organization’s members “are poised to lead the way toward recovery and a future of renewal.”
“The coronavirus pandemic is finally receding. … What a time to continue the work that Blessed Michael McGivney began. What a time to be a Knight,” Supreme Knight Patrick E. Kelly said June 11 in an address opening the Knights’ meeting of the organization’s state deputies.
Leaders of the Knights from every U.S. state and around the world attended the meeting in New Haven, site of the Knights’ founding and its first in-person gathering since the start of the pandemic.

On the cross and still today, Jesus prays for everyone, pope says

(VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Jesus is always praying for each and every person, desiring that his word would help people in their lives and that they never would feel alone, Pope Francis said.
“Jesus prays for me — each one of us can keep this in our heart. Do not forget it, even during those terrible moments,” the pope said June 16 during his weekly general audience.
