Over $45,000 was raised through our 2016 car raffle - this will help pay down the $1.7M renovation/construction loan for our beautiful building in Lombard. We appreciate the continued support of so many and welcome our new supporters to the SEA family. A big thank you to West Suburban Wellness for supporting our day and relieving some stress with our families and friends through chair massages.
Below are some pics from the Open House / Car Raffle with our very own SEA students pulling the winning tickets for the raffle.
Yummy cotton candy.
A jumpy house.
Chair massages.

Cole took care of the second place ticket for $1,500.

And finally, Mary Kate

Spring Music and Art Show
Our students worked hard to make the spring Music and Art show a fun event for all in attendance. They  created art pieces, posters, costumes and performed in our Music show portion. The drama club, dance club, and drum circle also performed. Everyone performed "Soaring Eagle is a School" song that showcased their costumes and ideas. We also had a photo booth for pics with families and friends. We thank all who attended and enjoyed the talents of our amazing students.  Special thanks to Fine Arts Deptartment teachers Stefanie Kurecki and Dalila Perez for another amazing show.
SEA was thrilled to be part of the Lombard Lilac Festival Parade 2016. Big shout out of thanks to SEA Fine Arts Department staff, Dalila Perez, Stefanie Kurecki and Bobby Rizzo, for heading up the parade committee. Thanks to those who helped decorate the bus and participated in the parade. A good time was definitely had by all.
The parade theme was "Time Travel" and we wowed the crowd with our Flower Power bus.
Museum of Science and Industry
Some of our students recently took a trip to the museum of Science and Industry. It was a great day of exploration and learning with friends.
High School Garden.....
SEA was very fortunate to be the recipient of a Jeans Day Fundraiser, in honor of Autism Awareness Month from the Archer Daniels Midland Company. The ADM staff raised funds for the jeans day and ADM matched the total, donating a little over $1,000 to SEA. Phil's HS class worked together and created a plan for some raised vegetable/herb garden beds. Below are a few pics of the garden start up and watering. The garden will bring our students' learning to the outdoors, offering great life skill experiences as they care for the garden. We hope to be able to sell some veggies this summer at the local farmer's market - more pics and details to follow.

Greetings Families and Friends of SEA:
The sun has finally become more consistent! As the regular term comes to a close on June 3, we have many things planned. On Wednesday June 1 at noon we will be holding the 8th grade graduation ceremony. This is a fun event!  We are recognizing five 8th grade graduates this year. Additionally, June 2 will be a field trip day for many students and June 3 will be our water/field day for all. We are looking forward to a great summer.
