Help the Jubilee Sisters "celebrate their journey" with a special Jubilee Mass enrollment card from the St. Elizabeth Mission Society. As members of the Mission Society, their intentions will be remembered at Masses celebrated throughout the year in the Motherhouse Chapel. As always, they will also share in the prayers and good works of our Sisters in Bolivia, Brazil, Jamaica, Mozambique and the United States.

As a sponsored ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, the St. Elizabeth Mission Society shares in its spiritual aims, one of which is to advance the awareness of God's love. Donations given for the cards are used to support the ministries of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany who work to educate, heal, clothe, feed and be present for those who are experiencing poverty in Bolivia, Brazil, Jamaica, Mozambique and the United States.

Jubilee cards will also be available in the Mission Society office. 

The month of January has flown by! We here at the Motherhouse have been busy preparing for what 2023 has in store for us! 

We have hired a new driver for the Motherhouse Sisters, Mike, who has been a welcomed addition to our team! Mike is located in office 020 and available Monday through Friday to provide transportation to Sisters for things such as shopping, entertainment, and errands. 

On January the 5th we held a Dementia In-Service for all staff. The WNY Alzheimer’s Association put on a highly educational presentation about understanding and responding to dementia-related behavior. This presentation can be found online at alz.org/wny for anyone interested. 

I have begun my work with Leadership Cattaraugus. This is a 10 month long experiential program, by which I expect to gain invaluable knowledge to share with the staff here at the Motherhouse. 

Buffalo Fire tested our Fire Safety System this month, although it was quite loud, it is imperative that we can ensure our system is in good working order. 

The Otis elevator also received some much-needed attention. We appreciate the patience the Sisters have shown throughout this month with the fire safety test and the elevator maintenance!
