Be a Splash Day Judge on July 4th
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Woodlands Township is looking for Splash Day Judges on July 4th.  They are looking for judges to decide which pool in The Woodlands has the most enthusiasm and best decorations.  Each pool will have a different theme and provide free activities to the public.
It's easy!  You'll visit each pool in the zone you pick, rate the pools according to criteria given (your friends and family can help too), fill out the judge forms, then email to Jason Cheatham by July 6th.
If you want to be a Splash Day Judge, please contact Jason Cheatham by email at jcheatham@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov.  The deadline to sign up is July 1st, so hurry!
Trash Services NOT Impacted by July 4th Holiday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Waste Management will provide curbside pickup of trash, recycling and yard trimmings to all residents on their regularly scheduled service day, including Monday, July 4. There will be no interruption or delay of services during the Fourth of July holiday and the week following Monday, July 4, 2016.
Fireworks are Prohibited in The Woodlands
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Woodlands Township Fire Department reminds all residents that The Woodlands Covenants strictly prohibit the sale or use of home fireworks and sparklers of any kind in The Woodlands Township. The Woodlands Township is situated in a beautiful forest, and one errant spark could severely damage the community.
In effort to deter home fireworks activity and educate those in violation of the covenants, The Woodlands Fire Department will respond to fireworks complaints when not on an emergency call.
To report the sale or use of home fireworks, please call The Woodlands Fire Department non-emergency line at 281-362-3900 and inform the dispatcher of the activity and location. In the event of a fire or medical emergency, please call 911.
