Signs of Spring-Week 3-Drumbeats of Spring

There is a difference between drilling and drumming. Drilling is when woodpeckers chip out wood in search of food or to create a nesting site. Drumming , most common in Spring, is either a l”ove song” to attract a mate or a “battle cry” warning the competition about territory boundaries.
