New York State Adds Diversity Reports to Film Tax Credit Application   
 In a push to encourage diversity across New York State's film and television industry, applications for the New York State Film Tax Credit Program now include two new forms that will provide critical information to support that effort. 

NYS' Film Tax Credit Program Hits $16B Direct Spend Milestone

New York State's Film Tax Credit Program hit a record-breaking $16 billion in total spending earlier this month. That's the total in direct spend from 1,123 projects in the program since Governor Cuomo took office in January 2011.

Since 2008, the Academy for Careers in Television and Film in Long Island City, Queens, has been preparing students in grades 9-12 for college as well as providing entry-level access to a number of careers including "below-the-line" positions in the film industry.
