Welcome to May's edition of the newsletter! As the academic year comes to an end, it's with great pride that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our graduating master's students. Your perseverance and accomplishments have been nothing short of inspiring.
As you embark on new adventures and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead, remember that you will always be a part of the PACK. Stay connected, continue to grow, and never cease to pursue your dreams with unwavering determination.

Celebrating Commencement
Saturday, May 11, 2024, 8:30am | CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl
Gates will open at 6:30am and seating is general admission. Guests should be seated 30 minutes before the ceremony.
Guests not riding with a graduate must take the Bonforte or Walking Stick Blvd. entrances to CSU Pueblo. Guests may park in any of the lots indicated on our website.
Wheelchair accessible shuttles will be available to take guests to the stadium.
Guests wishing to sit in the Occhiato University Center Ballroom to watch the live feed of the ceremony can park anywhere on campus; however; lot G is the closest to the ballroom.

Thunderwolf Market Donation Collection
Spring cleaning? Declutter and donate to make a difference! We will be accepting your gently used furniture, home goods, clothing, kids' items, sports equipment, or anything that still has use (not trash).

Faculty/Staff/Non-Resident Students: Drop off donations at the residence halls May 17th 11am-1pm and 4pm-6pm and May 18th 10am-1pm

Residents in Halls: Donate at the collection bins in the main lobbies during checkout week.

Residents in Apartments: Donate at the halls or get a donation pass from your Area Coordinator for larger items to get permission to leave it behind.
Your donations benefit CSU Pueblo students with unmet basic needs by providing them with bus passes, gas cards, and grocery cards through the Student Affairs Basic Needs committee.

Graduate Student Fellowship Program
The primary goal of the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education Graduate Student Fellowship Program (GSFP) is to prepare Latina/o/x doctoral scholars for successful careers in academia; however, the program also provides support to Latina/o/x scholars interested in pursuing careers within administration and policy in post-secondary education. Towards this end, program sub-goals include to:
- Provide strategies to assist scholars in achieving their educational and professional goals
- Provide constructive feedback on graduate student fellows' research
- Build community and network with other Latina/o/x scholars.
Program Dates: September 2024-March 2025
Application Due: May 31, 2024 11:59pm ET

The CVS Health Foundation Health Care Careers Scholarship
For minorities pursuing a career in the health care sector such as nursing, biology, biochemistry, data analytics, social work, human development, and health education.
Award: $10,000
Deadline: May 31, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST

Advance. Grow. Accelerate. (AGA) Scholarship
For students pursing graduate studies in disciplines such as accounting, economic, finance, information systems/technology or public administration
Award: $3,000
Deadline: June 11, 2024

Friends of Hubbell Scholarship
Friends of Hubbell Trading Post, National Historic Site is a 501(c)(3) organization established 1990. The goal is to provide scholarships to Four Corner colleges and graduate students, and to increase awareness of the trading post’s heritage in the southwest.
Must be an enrolled member of the Navajo, Hopi, Acoma, Laguna, Zuni, or Southern Ute nation.
Award: $3,000
Deadline: June 15, 2024
